Talent has no Boundaries: Workforce Diversity Includes People with Disabilities
October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month (NDEAM), a time when businesses of all sizes and in all industries recognize the talents that people with disabilities add to their organizations and communities.
NDEAM's roots go back to 1945, when Congress declared the first week in October "National Employ the Physically Handicapped Week." Since that time, the effort has expanded to acknowledge the contributions that people with all types of disabilities make to America's workplaces and economy not just during October but throughout the year.
One easy way for your business to show support is to display this year's NDEAM poster, which emphasizes the rich diversity and talent that workers with disabilities bring to the workplace.
